Learning & Brain Development Toys For Babies, Toddlers & Kids

Maha is not so keen on playing with toys and dolls, her first play thing is our phones, laptops and other odds and ends lying in the house..All the other stuffs catches in her eyes except her toys. So we dont buy much toys for her..

But i can never stay away from the soft toys, i have a huge attraction towards that..So i buy them for her thinking that she will play with them, but i end up playing with them..

One of my reader asked me to share some learning and useful toys for babies, so i decided to share this post..

Below is some of the soft toy collections..

I got these animals toys which i found very useful and a must have collection because kids and babies will easily learn and identify the names of the animals through this..

This toy is great for learning the sizes and shapes and colours...And it helps in brain development..

This helps in identifying the shapes, colours and helps in developing the hand and eye coordination in babies..

Again this is to learn colours and alphabets..

Many of you told me that those baby learning book post was informative. So i decided to share another thing which we bought for her..The baby learning charts.. We started buying these charts when maha started to walk, i would say around her 8th month. She would crawl up to the chart and look at those pictures in the chart.

1)The first chart which i bought is the baby parts of the body. She started absorbing it a lot and started naming every parts in a few months..

2)Then there goes the birds charts..She just names few of these animals now..The more familiar ones..

3)These are Alphabets charts which is really helpful for babies. St first they will start naming the words through the images like apple, ball then you got to slowly work out for the alphabets..They will learn quicker..

4)These are the normal animals chart which is always a interesting one for babies. They will just love it..Maha mostly plays with this chart and name most of the animal..Since she sees these animals live most of the time..

5)This is a tamil words charts which hubby bought, but this is for little older babies. I would say for babies over 4 years.

6)This one is a useful chart for babies abover 1.5 year. Since there words are easy to repeat babies will learn quicker.

7)This is again a animal chart, but this is a wild animals. After our visit to zoo. Maha started seeing this chart a lot more. Since she can identify the animals.

Learning books are a must buy things when you have a smart and fast growing baby...It just amazing to see how much babies learn from these books rather than you teaching. These fun books will be your babies favourite and they will keep on looking them..This makes it easy for them to learn..

I can never stop buying these books. But in my place there is not much options available. And the shops dont stock much collections of them...So i try to pick few when we go on a vacations..Mostly i search online for these books.These are few books which i got for maha..

1)Peekaboo Books:
This is a peekaboo collection and she just loves it..She keeps on looking them, it is such a fun one..And she names all the animals in these books now..I got it from my shop(luckily)..They were around 80rs or so per book..You can look online in amazon or firstcry..

2)Jumbo Books:
This is a big jumbo book for baby..It has huge animal pictures and she loves this too..These books have a short description about the animals so it is best for little older toddler..

3)Turn and Learn Books:
This is a turn or learn book..It helps babies learn numbers and animals as well..Again it is great for babies older than 2 years..But you can get for babies above 1.5 year as well..

4)Touch and Feel Books:
This is maha's latest favourite..It is a touch and feel book. Great for babies under 1 year too..These books were pretty costly..I got them for around 250 rs. But it is so worth it and maha enjoy looking at it..

5)Pictured Story Books / Habit Teaching Books:
These books are like short story book with pictures for babies. I got all the series in this books and maha loves it..She take this book and give it to me and ask me "amma pep-peh"

6)Basic Learning Books:
These are normal pictures books, nothing fancy...I got this for her, for few days she kept on seeing it..Then she got bored..

7)Know About Books:
This is a basic collection. But the images in this book are little realistic and it is great for little bigger babies because it has some short description about the animals as well..

8)Babies First Books:

These are the first book collections..I got her most of the collections like birds, wild animals, domestic animals and many more..These are great for small babies too..Hard cover animal or bird pictures is printed which is quite attractive..
